HP 4200/4300/4345 Laser Engine
Printer History: Released in November 2002 and replaced the HP 4100 series.
Hardware Information: The 4200 series has a monthly duty cycle of 150,000 pages and delivers 35 ppm and a first page out under 9 seconds. The 4300 series delivers 45 ppm and has a duty cycle of 200,000 pages. The LaserJet® 4345 added copier and scanner functions to the 4300 model.
OEM Cartridge Information: Despite using the same engine in the printer series, the 4200, 4300 and 4345 models require different toner cartridges. The 4300 (Q1339A) and 4345 (Q5945A) cartridges yield 18,000 pages at 5% coverage while the 4200 model cartridge (Q1338A) yields 12,000 pages at 5% coverage.
