HP 2500/1500 Laser Engine
Printer History: The Color LaserJet® 1500 was released in May 2003. In June 2004 the 2500 was replaced by the Color LaserJet® 2500.
Hardware Information: All have a monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages. The printers deliver 16 ppm in monochrome and 4 ppm in color with a first page out of 16 seconds for black and 29 seconds for color.
OEM Cartridge Information: The 2500/1500 black toner cartridge (C9700A) yields 5,000 pages at 5% while the colors (C9701A, C9702A, C9703A) yield 4,000 pages at 5% coverage. The 2550 and 2820/2840 share a black cartridge (Q3960A), but have standard yield color cartridges (Q3971A, Q3972A, Q3973A) that yield 2,000 pages at 5% coverage and high-capacity color cartridges (Q3961A, Q3962A, Q3963A) that yield 4,000 pages at 5% coverage.
